At the young age of three, Tori Thompson knew that she was destined to become a star. One of her very first memorable performances was her role of singing "Happy Birthday Jesus" in her church Christmas play at that age. Since then she has had an undying love for the spotlight. Her sister Taylor, who was 5 at the time, knew that she as well had what it took to make her dreams come true. She performed "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" at the Strawberry Festival held every spring in their hometown of Santa Maria, California. Since that time the girls have both accomplished many great things with their careers especially at the age that they are.
Both girls have competed, and won, many beauty pageants in their area. Tori has even went to Nationals for her division. Both girls have also competed in, and won competitions in "Best New Talent" which showcases talent from all across the country. Auditions, talent shows, these girls seem to have done it all...
But their greatest accomplishment came in the summer of 2003. Taylor & Tori were the first two members to become a part of the music group known as the American Juniors. The Thompson Sisters had to compete against thousands of kids from across America to make it into the group. On October 26th, 2004 the American Juniors debut cd was released. The album sales were not as immense as the Juniors and their management had hoped, but many critics were stunned to find out that the large demand for the pre-ordered copies left them backordered, most till the actual release date.
With a long period of downtime. It was obvious that the Juniors were going no where, and the contract that had been a promised ticket to living their dreams quickly turned into some what of an unfair scam. It wasn't long until they were finally released from 19 management.
A few months later the first announcement of the group's break was posted on Taylor & Tori's official website in late May of 2005. In July 2005, the first solo demo Taylor & Tori had created was finished. The demo featured some songs written by Elizabeth Szatmari, and a few songs the girls had written themselves. Before they knew it, this demo had become "old" and with improvements on their vocals and instrumental skills, they were ready to record something new.
In the summer of 2006 they began working with producers "The Matrix" & "The Pharmacy". A brand new demo with a rockerish vibe, yet some still poppy-fun songs was finished. The girls are currently looking for label representation.
